MEET ALIETUM’S FOUNDER

Jennifer Waugh, P. Eng, MBA | Principal

Born and raised in Yellowknife, Jen has been fortunate to travel in all three territories, including all 33 official communities in Northwest Territories. Jen spent much of her childhood in and around bush planes and helicopters. Her interest in aviation from an early age led her to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering. Jen was first exposed to unmanned technology while working on the university’s UAV project team, where together they designed and built a UAV for geophysical surveying. It was here that she began to see the potential for unmanned aerial technology in Canada’s remote north. After building a small UAV of her own and learning to fly, Jen founded Alietum Ltd. in 2016.
